The story unfolds little by little, interspersing between the present and the flashbacks of the history. From the morning, we know that Lindsey has erected a new life for herself after escaping from an vituperative hubby. Still, her vituperative history is gradationally revealed through her flashbacks. Put it this way, it’s easy to see how Lindsey got smelled into herex-husband, Andrew. He was charmed, seeing how fascinating she was at first and how she gradationally increased the control she had over her life until it was absolute. As the violence escalated, it came clear that Lindsey had to leave her marriage or that she’d die at the hands of Andrew. Now, further than ten times latterly, Lindsey has established a new life for herself and her son, Sophie. A little girl when Lindsey took her son on the run, Sophie is now a teenager. She knows nothing about her father, except what she has told her mama and the many particulars that she has been suitable to find. As much as she loves her mama, she can not help but be curious about the father she has noway met. She has only known the life of a son of a single mama, floundering to make ends meet. She envies the children of fat parents whose houses her mama cleans. She can not help but wonder what it must be like to have both parents. Now that Andrew must be released from captivity, Sophie’s dreams of the father she has not known since she was five times old have a chance to come true. As she begins to work on erecting a relationship with him, her mama begins to sweat for her safety. Strange effects start to be. Easily someone is intruding with Lindsey. She’s spooked. and she should be. Someone wants to catch her and she’s alarmed that Andrew is willing to finish what she started all those times agone. From launch to finish, this story caught my full attention. My heart was pounding and I was on the edge of my seat from the moment these strange events began to hang Lindsey, until it all came to light. There were relatively a many twists and turns on the trail. I had my reservations, but I was surely surprised by the way effects turned out. I did not rebuild effects until the author wanted me to.
