It’s a tragic and very beautiful story, in this book we see that Death itself tells the story because it follows a girl ‘Liezel Meminger’ during World War II in Germany. He lost his brother and stole his first book on the journey of his adoptive parents. She and her adoptive father share a very special bond, she plays the accordion with him and also teaches him to read and she uses this reading skill in the shelter during the bombing and so does her neighbor. For me, it’s a very different but very ongoing story. I loved learning about Liselle’s life, her love of books, her love of words. I loved Marcus Jusak’s writing because it keeps you connected to the story. He also gave some spoilers in the middle such as “This character is dying”. Which prepares you to face coming and you are more interested in history. In the end, you will love each character and I liked this book the most. It’s not wrong to say that this story is like an emotional roller coaster that will surely make your heart beat faster and make you close the book and cry a lot but some happy moments and some relationships will surely touch your heart. Markus Zusak’s writen this book is a wonderful that everyone should read.
