Maliban is one of the most popular Bengali novels by Jibanananda Das. Jibanananda Das is a popular Bengali poet, writer and novelist. He introduced the modern bangla poem after Rabindronath Tagore. He was born on February 17, 1899 in Barisal and died on October 22, 1954 due to a tram accident in Calcutta. His father was Satyananda Das, he was a school teacher and the mother was Das Kusumkumari also wrote poetry.
