Mr. Shetty says you need to have the mentality of a monk to train your mind to find peace, tranquility and purpose. It also explains the difference between monastic mentality and monkey mentality. The author emphasizes the importance of position in our routine construction. It says that every place has its own power. If a particular space is dedicated to a specific purpose with the least amount of confusion, we are more likely to do so. It will be easier for us to set up a routine if we visit these places regularly without trying to be alone at home. The book mentions that three years later, one of his teachers told the author that if he left the monk’s path to share his experience and knowledge with others, he would have a greater impact on the world. He returned to the country in North London with his parents. There is a basic part of this book, this part should have been written a little more clearly, because we do not fully understand exactly what happened and why the author suddenly decided to abandon the path of becoming a monk. It’s frustrating to see the way the author indirectly criticizes Marie Condo. Many people in the United States, including some talk show hosts, enjoy making fun of Mary Condo. But I did not expect this in a book that was written with the sole purpose of thinking like our monks.
