William Shepherd and Li Zhang’s Power Converter Circuits Free Download OR, Online Read. This book is designed for use in junior and senior level undergraduate courses in electrical electronics. Classic analysis is used everywhere. Coverage refers exclusively to power electronic circuits. The physics and manufacture of electronic power switches, or the detailed design of protection of electronic power circuits and auxiliary components are not covered. Corrective circuits are treated in a much more complete and detailed manner than usual in contemporary texts. Chapter 14 is devoted to matrix converters, which often receive little attention. Chapter 13 is dedicated to wrap-around cycloconverters, which generally don’t get any attention. Text features include a large number of worked-out numerical examples and a large number of end-of-chapter problems, with answers. The material in this book has been used for examination and classroom purposes at the University of Leeds, England; the University of Bradford, England; and Ohio University, Athens, Ohio. The authors appreciate permission to reproduce the relevant material. Some short sections of this book are reproduced from previous work by one of the authors.
