Book Description :::::…
It’s a collection of fables attributed to Aesop, a slave and fibber who’s believed to have lived in ancient Greece. These stories, although occasionally naive occasionally strange, filled numerous of my summers, I read them audibly to my grandmother while she was sewing or oil or doing one of the numerous effects that she loved to do with her hands. Firstly belonging to the oral tradition, the fables were collected only three centuries after Aesop’s death. The stories concentrate on tutoring moral assignments about love, respect, rapacity, and all those inner demons that bother us. The apologues are great and rich. Creatures are always the protagonists, maybe because showing mortal geste and conduct- especially despicable bones-in the glass of our brutal companions in the world makes it easier for us to see the root of wrong on display. This is a good read for youthful children, but it’s also a unexpectedly amusing read for grown-ups. One that requires little commitment, as you can read one fable and forget about the book ever, or you can read numerous and make an autumn with it.
